Dishonored 2: So many options

Dishonored 2 is a huge title from the Developer Arkane and this time round they’ve changed the first title’s ‘play-your-way’ formula with two separate skills; a deep and multifaceted world and a ridiculous array of level designs that affect your approach. You choose whether you want to take the slyer stealthy approach or the hard-hitting bloody approach. Each decision you make will open the door for a wide range of stories that can be told within this wonderfully twisted universe.

In the game, 15 years have passed since the events of the original Dishonored but Emily Kaldwin is once again thrown into disarray when her evil aunt appears with suspicious designs on her throne. The first decision that isn’t an easy one. You can either choose to play as Emily or her father and protector (and original Dishonored protagonist) Corvo Attano. If you’re wondering what we decided on, we went with Corvo, we just couldn’t resist! We played with Emily after though and what we noticed was that their stories play out in much the same way, but of course the decision is important as you are stuck with that character for the rest of your 12 to 16-hour journey.

They each have different abilities and personalities but they want the same goal and whoever you choose, it’s up to you to take revenge on Emily’s evil aunt. It’s easy to get into the storyline but you have to take the time to explore The Southern-European-kissed city of Karnaca and see how beautiful it really is. The developers have done an amazing job there, and you’ll come across lush greenery, a stunning harbour and many tall bloodfly-infested buildings. There were a few issues, the game crashed once but it’s not enough to put you off and you only have to look at the game’s average ratings to see how amazing it really is.
